Youth

Confirmation

Confirmation is a two-year program led by Pastor Steve.  The curriculum we use is entitled “The Journey” which encourages our youth (7th – 8th grade) to become more intimately involved in the spiritual discovery process and to spend quality devotional time with God every day.  The first year focuses on Old Testament themes and the second year focuses on the New Testament.

Sunday School

From September to May each year, Dana Kolke leads a Sunday School class for our youth in grades 9th through 12th.

Youth Group

Our youth group (7th – 12th grade) meets every Wednesday night from 6:15 t0 7:45p.m.  The group is led by Jake King and Dana Kolke.  A typical Wednesday night begins with games, followed by a Bible study/discussion on pertinent faith and life issues, and concluded with a time for prayer.  The youth group also has a monthly activity (i.e. concert, lock-in, bowling, etc.) and occasional mission/service projects.

Bible Camp

Each summer we provide the opportunity for our youth to go to Lake Beauty Bible Camp in Long Prairie, MN.    Lake Beauty was founded for youth to have a place to learn about and experience Jesus together.  Many of our youth came to know Christ for the first time at camp.  Our youth also have the opportunity to attend Serf Camp, where they will be mentored and encouraged to serve in their home church or as future staff members at Lake Beauty.
